New eligible clients are currently placed on an “Order of Selection” waitlist to receive services. Based on the priority category and eligibility date, clients will receive services as funds are available. Clients are put into one of three prioritized categories:

  • 1st priority: Individuals who are Most Significantly Disabled (currently open, no waiting)
  • 2nd priority: Individuals who are Significantly Disabled (approximately 554 applicants on the waitlist in this category as of 30 January 2017)
  • 3rd priority: Individuals who are Disabled (approximately 969 applicants on the waitlist in this category as of 30 January 2017)

Since 2015, the waitlist has significantly decreased from 6,000 clients to less than 1,600 clients in February 2017. The waitlist continues to shrink. For example, clients in the “Significant Disabled” category only applied late last year. If interested in receiving services, apply now to become a client. The sooner you apply, the sooner you may receive services.
